EC-1593 is a sprayable primer for use with Scotch-Weld Brand Bonding Film AF-30. |
| |
|
| |
It is suggested for use where good aluminium and magnesium overlap shear strengths from - 67°F to 180°F are required. |
| |
| |
EC-1593 primer offers the following advantages: |
| |
- Insures complete wetting of film adhesive to the adherend surfaces. |
| |
- Simplifies production scheduling by protecting the cleaned surfaced until the bonding operations can be completed. (Up to 90 days). |
| - The dried primer film has a dark blue colour and primed area can therefore be easily identified. |
| - Imparts corrosion protection to the metal. EC-1593 with AF-9330, is qualified to MMM-A-134 Type 1 Class 2. |
| - Provides good compatibility with surface preparations used on magnesium. |
